Users, plans and resellers

For administrators: users, plans, resellers and line-group grants, top-ups, adjustments and orders.

For control-plane administrators: adding users, configuring plans, enabling resellers, and handling top-ups and orders.

Add or change users

  1. Open "System → User list", click "Add user", fill in the username, e-mail and other details and save. Find existing users by username, display name, e-mail or phone.
  2. Open the user's "Edit" and check the "Basic", "Identity" and "Sign-in security" tabs, the user group and what happens at expiry.
  3. Grant only the permissions the user needs; do not give regular users admin rights.
  4. Ask the user to sign in again and confirm they see only their own resources.

To troubleshoot as the user, click "Switch" in the user list to enter their user console; click "Exit impersonation" when done. Users manage their own members and sub-accounts under "Account → Members & sub-accounts".

Plans

A plan sets how many resources a user gets, which features, which line and the site CNAME.

  1. Open "Plans → Base plans". Add at least one group on the "Plan groups" tab first.
  2. On the "Base plans" tab click "Add plan" and fill in each section: ownership (name, groups, line group, standby group), resource limits (monthly traffic, bandwidth, connections, domains and switches such as WAF, CC, HTTP3), pricing (monthly, quarterly, yearly in yuan), CNAME settings and purchase limits.
  3. Save and check name, status and limits in the list; for self-service purchase make sure the group is visible for sale.
  4. Give or change plans for existing users under "Plans → Sold plans"; add-ons and traffic packs are under "Upgrade packs" and "Traffic packs".

When you change a plan's CNAME domain, host name or mode, every active subscription of that plan picks up the new settings and the plan's sites regenerate their CNAMEs; the page shows progress. Subscriptions whose CNAME was changed individually under "Sold plans", or that have a future version, are skipped and listed with the reason.

If a user cannot see a plan, check that its group is visible, the user has it, and you are on the right control plane. Balances and manual adjustments belong under "Finance"; do not use plan edits to adjust money.

Resellers

A reseller is a user the platform grants some line groups to, who builds its own plans from them and sells them to its own customers. This release supports one level only: platform → reseller → reseller's customers.

Enable a reseller (platform administrator):

  1. In "System → User list", open the user's "Edit" and go to the "Reseller" tab.
  2. Turn on "Enable as reseller", set the wholesale price list (default standard), the low-balance reminder (yuan, 0 means none) and the customer limit (empty means unlimited), and click "Enable reseller".
  3. The user list's "Type" column now shows "Reseller".

Grant line groups to a reseller:

  1. Open "Nodes → Line groups" and, in "Line group tiers and grants" below, set each group's tier (normal, high defence, unlimited defence).
  2. On the group's row click "Grant to reseller", choose the reseller and click "Grant".

Billing: the reseller prepays the platform. When a customer orders from the reseller, the wholesale price is taken from the reseller's prepaid balance; the reseller sets its own retail price, which cannot be below wholesale. A reseller's customers can only buy that reseller's plans; add-ons and traffic packs are still bought from the platform.

Move an existing user to a reseller: on the user's "Reseller" tab choose the reseller under "Parent reseller" and save; existing subscriptions stay until they expire. Choose "Platform customer" to move them back.

Suspend and revoke:

  • A suspended reseller cannot create plans, add customers or place orders; sold subscriptions run until they expire and customers cannot renew that reseller's plans.
  • Revoking a line-group grant delists the reseller's on-sale plans that use it and clears its B/C escalation settings; sold subscriptions run until they expire.

In this release there is no separate page for the platform's wholesale prices, and the reseller's own screens for building plans and viewing income are still being completed. Ask the platform how to set wholesale prices or have a reseller build plans before relying on it.

Top-ups, adjustments and orders

  • "Finance → User top-up" tops up a user; "Manual balance adjustment" is for approved adjustments and leaves a record.
  • "All orders", "Top-up orders" and "Top-up statistics" are for reconciliation. If an order's state is unclear, check it before topping up again.
  • Self-service top-ups are paid through a channel set on the "Payment channels" page with "Site top-up" ticked under its uses. "Site top-up" alone does not enable node-market payments; see node supplier.
  • "Payment channels" is not in the sidebar yet. Open /dashboard/finance/payment-channels on your control plane, for example https://console.cdnca.com/dashboard/finance/payment-channels. It needs the "manage payment channels" permission.

Follow your organisation's approval process for balances, top-ups and manual adjustments.
